Your individual CO2 footprint - the next global currency

The carbon footprint is a measure of the total amount of carbon dioxide-Emissions that arise or are caused directly or indirectly by activities or life stages of products or people. In addition to carbon dioxide, other greenhouse gases  balanced, mostly in metric tons CO2 equivalent  (short t CO2-eq) calculated.

The carbon footprint has gained importance in recent years as a means of measuring the climate impact of activities such as providing or consuming products and Services  for individuals or aggregated for organizations and states.

On this basis, more targeted climate protection-Measures are taken to climate targets  to reach, e.g. B. die global warming  to limit the temperature increase to a maximum of 2 °C (two degree target).
