ARCHITECTS

We are shaped by our projects,

and projects are shaped by us

Our projects

Unique, made-to-measure pieces in high-quality architecture for people who value climate-friendly, CO2-free construction. Let's build the future - now.

Our focus is on upscale residential architecture, luxurious villas, custom-made interiors as well as cultural buildings, office spaces and modular construction. Clear lines, cubatures and floor plans, spacious rooms and panoramic windows characterize our designs. We combine puristic materials and exclusive interior design.

As a family with children, we know what is important. Costs are often a criterion for building or not. That's why we are open to the size, floor plan and equipment of the planned property: The smallest realized project has just 7 m2 (living house for kids) and the largest 65,600 m2.

And our zero-emission concept minimizes operating and energy costs considerably, so that our buildings are economical in the long term.

Metamorphosis - from country house to cubist villa

The impressive property is located in a nature reserve near the state capital of Düsseldorf. So we had to coordinate every step with the building authorities, the interventions were significant: First, we removed the roof from the upper floor and replaced it with a flat roof. The 2.5 m lower building is now less present in the environment, which is characterized by forest and meadow areas. Under the existing building, we have created a swimming pool with ancillary rooms and a garage, without changing the ground floor plan. All walls were preserved and were statically or structurally strengthened.

Master class - more transparency for maximum radiance

The completely glazed domicile in the west of Cologne fascinates with lightness and an exquisite interior. A beautiful place on the sunny side of life that has something magical at night.

Master class - more transparency for maximum radiance

Even the lush green property is a dream: the park-like area measures 2,500 m2 and faces south. The sun shines on the pool and building all day long. The central building appears light and transparent. This is due to the all-round glazing and the stiffening steel construction, which reduces the load-bearing elements to a minimum.

It is known from the Villa Tugendhat or the New National Gallery by LM van der Rohe. Here the principle goes one step further and is flexible: The wooden beam ceilings can be adapted for galleries or other openings, as can the lightweight walls of the built-in components. Technology and installations are invisibly integrated in the false ceilings. Everything looks clear and tidy, there is nothing that disturbs the overall picture.

Strong building trio for a competitive athlete

In the east of Düsseldorf we designed a luxurious ensemble for an extraordinary client. The successful triathlete wanted accommodation that would meet the highest standards of performance and design.

Strong building trio for a competitive athlete

For the 26 mx 100 m property, we designed three buildings as a harmonious ensemble: residential building, garage building and fitness center. The connecting element is a 25 m long outdoor pool for year-round training. The minimalist design with floor-to-ceiling panoramic glazing is clear and simple. The cubes, clad with soft wooden slats, stand on a hard exposed concrete slab. Likewise, solid wall elements alternately flank the buildings along the property and act as privacy screens.

The most spectacular residential building in the city

It's quite unusual when the client asks his architect to design the most spectacular residential building in the city.

Her villa was to be an extraordinary design. Construction, interior and equipment have exceeded the boldest expectations of the builders.

thespace villain the east of Düsseldorf

Even from the outside, the futuristic new building looks as if it is not from this world: a geometrically sharp-edged structure is enthroned on a glass joint above the basement, which is deeply embedded in the topography. The two-storey volume is covered with a silver textile. Incisions in the fabric on the building side accentuate the cubature and provide a view. This is where the owners live, work and chill. There are a variety of spacious rooms, a studio and entertainment area with a cinema. Large balconies are built in front of both floors, the ribbon windows open the building to the park-like garden. The basement contains a guest apartment, underground parking for four cars and a wellness area with an infinity pool. The view of nature sweeps through panoramic windows, from here there is access to the garden.

grandeurhyper Maximum

Calling the project a villa would be a misnomer. A property of superlatives with an engaging living and working environment is better. A Grandezza Maximum. The concise, timeless architecture locates the luxury home appropriately on the park-like grounds.

Grandezza maximum

The fantastically located property has 14,000 m2, which includes its own forest with a river. There is a show garage for 18 vehicles, a wellness oasis, a large pool and sauna and fitness areas with a pantry. In addition, an office wing plus conference zones and guest area with two apartments. Caretaker and portal buildings with their own right of way should not be missing either. And last but not least, the actual living and recreation area. In total, that is more than 2000 m2 of usable space.

Exclusive design garden house for kids

The search for a children's home for our children remained fruitless for a long time: the usual offers were overloaded, brightly colored and impractical. Neither design appealed to us, so we designed one ourselves.

Exclusive design garden house for kids

Our concept is simple, clearly structured and simply beautiful to look at: A structured light or dark floor, four wooden wall panels and a perforated roof form the interior. This cocoon is framed by a surrounding covered outdoor area, also available in a light or dark version. Inside there is a lying surface, a small piece of seating furniture and a bookshelf in two depths. There is another seating area outside, opposite the sandpit, which is embedded in the ground. The cottage has a 202 V electricity connection and a small outdoor kitchen with water connection and drainage. Two small bicycles, scooters or similar can be hung up in a recess on the rear outer wall.

Striking facade and sustainable energy concept

The Medicenter Uedem is a successful prototype of future local medical care in rural areas. The striking cuboid with its lightweight façade has little in common with the usual medical centers. The new building impresses with sophisticated details and its energy concept.

Striking facade and sustainable energy concept

Simple and clear geometries, skeletal construction, natural materials and a sustainable energy concept form the basis of our design. The interior concept is clear, reduced and puristic, radiating calm and comfort at the same time. Nothing reminiscent of a medical facility. The premises look more like a modern museum or a wellness area. That's how it should be, after all, visits to the doctor are rarely pleasant, a calm atmosphere is good.

Elegant cube in white for the smaller budget

Cost and energy efficient construction is possible. Provided that the design is well thought out and reduced in the right places and clearly designed.

Elegant cube in white for the smaller budget

The facade of the new building is clearly structured: exterior walls plastered white throughout frame the large, dark panoramic windows. The cubic structure looks simple, elegant and elegant at the same time. Well thought-out floor plans with compact rooms get the most out of the available space. Living, sleeping and working areas of the builders are located on the light-flooded upper and ground floor. There are two small student apartments in the basement on the hillside.

Futuristic building for research

The white stone block of the building hovers over the glazed basement. The bold construction of the striking structure suits its purpose: it is a place of science that is also energetically optimized.

Futuristic building for research

The design of the new teaching and research building at the Gera-Eisenach University of Applied Sciences provides for three usage zones one above the other. The cubist, flat structure protrudes only 8 meters and blends in well with the extensive grounds. The floor-to-ceiling glazed base absorbs the loads of the expansive volume at the top. The ribbon windows are bolt-guided, so it is sufficient to seal the pane joints with silicone. It looks elegant and is economical. With the massive structure above, the bright facade catches the eye. It consists of prefabricated parts based on carbon fiber concrete (CF), is robust and can be produced cheaply. Prefabricated slats hung in front of the windows break up the homogeneous shell and create the striking appearance. They shade the seminar rooms and are rigid and maintenance-free.

A house with character - not just for vintage cars

The client has a soft spot for modern architecture and for classic cars with the three-pointed star that are a bit outdated. That's why he wanted a clearly designed new building for the family and an exposed room for his sweetheart.

A house with character - not just for vintage cars

The building impresses with the almost seamlessly processed materials wood, glass, metal and stone. The contemporary interpretation of the gable roof and the lamella facade make it stand out from the existing building, while still appearing simple. In the living area with open kitchen and glazed garage, the family has an unobstructed view of the garden. Private areas are on the upper floor, the air space extends to the roof. The incised loggia creates an additional free space through which daylight enters. Everything looks bright and friendly. In the basement there is a separately accessible granny flat plus loggia.

Wooden Garden House - anything but ordinary

The clear and super simple one-room solution is a place of retreat for people who also value elegant design in their garden. The puristic wooden house is available in three attractive color variants.

Wooden Garden House - anything but ordinary

The abstract pointed saddle with the surrounding floor, wall and roof elements interprets the archetype of a house in a contemporary way. Glazed slits in the roof and wall let light and air in and offer privacy. Components, joints and cuts (for PV systems) of different widths along the axis of the building create a rhythm. The two front sides, each with a large framed door, are fully glazed. The construction thus appears light and transparent. Depending on the location, the impression of an extended filigree spiral is created.
